Like all the other cycles in a woman’s life, the transition through menopause is essentially driven by hormones. And as hormones are transported via the blood, movement/exercise is vital.

All too often our yoga classes today focus on strength and flexibility and moving the body in a more dynamic way. This is absolutely valid and essential for health, but the slower, deeper practices are of equal importance and ideally we would devote as much time and attention to them.
You know you are sleep deprived when you start to use your oyster card to open the front door, or your front door keys to get through the ticket barrier!! And if I can do this on the odd disrupted night after attending a birth or helping a postnatal client overnight, I can only imagine what it feels like to be in that space on a daily basis as a new mum or dad.
And what’s with all the Love…? Well, did you know that 2013 is, astrologically speaking the YEAR of Love! I originally posted this in February (for hopefully obvious reasons!) but here is a modified version to remind ourselves to keep on loving, ourselves and others.
